His classes are exciting, high-energy, and age-appropriate — carefully structured to develop:

  • Self-discipline and focus
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Respect and character

At the heart of his teaching philosophy is a belief in the power of commitment and hard work. Sensei David is deeply passionate about building a strong, supportive community where every student feels valued and empowered. His students don't just learn how to defend themselves — they learn how to believe in themselves and achieve anything they set their minds to.

Meet Isabelle Paul

Instructor At Go No Sen Karate Putnam Valley

Isabelle Paul:

Isabelle Paul, Go No Sen Instructor brings 20 years of martial arts training and experience, paired with a degree in child psychology — a combination that makes her truly one of a kind on the mat. She doesn't just teach martial arts; she speaks the language of children, understanding how they think, feel, and grow in ways that go far deeper than technique.

Her classes are a vibrant blend of structure and joy — carefully crafted to build:

  • Physical coordination, strength, and endurance
  • Emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Unshakeable confidence and a positive self-image
  • Respect, discipline, and a love for learning

Isabelle has a rare gift — the ability to meet every child exactly where they are and walk with them toward who they are becoming. With boundless passion, patience, and heart, she transforms every class into an experience that students look forward to and carry with them long after they leave the mat. Because for Isabelle, it was never just about martial arts — it's about helping every child become a better, brighter version of themselves.
